Aura, modular air purifier

During the 2020 pandemic, commercial restrictions and health concerns highlighted the urgent need for safe indoor environments, especially in retail and commercial spaces. The lack of proper ventilation in these spaces significantly impacted both business owners and customers, affecting public health and operational continuity. This challenge presented an opportunity in industrial design: the development of an air purification system adaptable to urban commercial spaces, ensuring optimal air quality in areas up to 50m², operating autonomously, and requiring no structural modifications. The Aura system was created to address these needs by providing continuous air renewal in commercial spaces with a capacity of 1200 m³/h. It ensures high air quality using modular technology and high-efficiency filters (HEPA & UV-C), developed in collaboration with leading industry partners. By applying user and environmental analysis methodologies, and leveraging the production capabilities of Gatti, the design accommodates the challenges of rented spaces and urban environments. The intuitive interface and complementary mobile app allow for real-time monitoring, ensuring proper operation and maintenance. This project not only offers a functional solution but also aims to build trust and comfort in commercial spaces, promoting economic recovery and raising safety standards in everyday interactions. Aura goes beyond solving pandemic-related issues—it redefines indoor air quality perception, advancing toward safer and more sustainable urban spaces.
